What is the pen tool used for? The pen tool is used to help you trace over lines.


How can you manipulate a path/line in Illustrator? By using the anchor that appears every time you con near the line.

How can you utilize the layers palette in Illustrator? Each time you want to put a new picture on Illustrator, all you have to do is go down to the bottom right hand corner and click the little square that are layered on top each other and it makes a new layer for you.

How do you create a clipping mask in Adobe Illustrator? You select the picture that you want to make a mask of. Then click that shape tool on the left hand side. Take that shape tool and make a square of the parts that you want make your clipping mask of. Next, go to the menu bar at the top of your computer and click object. Then, keep scrolling down until you see "clipping mask" then go to it and click on it. Next, you click make and it makes the clipping mask for you.

clipping mask- a tool that makes a mask from the picture that you have selected.

Review Week 5

 I picked this picture of gummy bears for texture because you can see how all of these gummy bears differ in texture. Some are smooth and some are more rounded than the rest. I think this is a really cool design for texture cause it shows how different the texture of gummy bears can be.

 I think this sky scraper advertisements for space. Because you can really see how much space there is between the moon and the buildings.

 I picked this one for line. Because you can really see how all these lines are different from each other. Some lines are straight and some lines are crooked. This picture helps me understand better what line is cause of all the lines are different from each other.

I picked this picture for shape. I picked this one because it shows you how many shapes the designer used to create this. I think that this is a excellent way to show shape. Because it has all these different shapes in one picture. It shows you how many shapes a designer can use in just one graphic design about  showing shapes.

I picked this picture for value. I picked this because you can really see all the values the graphic designers used to make this. I think that the way they graphic designer was really different and unique.
